Embargo

In line with the German Psychological Society’s recommendations for data management and data sharing (Gollwitzer et al., 2020: https://doi.org/10.31234/osf.io/24ncs), the following dataset stored at the ZPID Research Data Center:

Fischer, M., Göritz, A. S., & Gollwitzer, M. (2023). DOI: 10.5160/psychdata.frmz22au25)

will be accessible for re-use under „Access Category 2” (“restricted access”), as specified in the user agreement with the ZPID.

In addition, and in line with Section 5.3 of the German Psychological Society’s data sharing recommendations, access to this dataset will be embargoed until the manuscript in which the primary findings from this project will be reported has been published in a scientific journal. Reasons for defining this embargo, which applies up to and including 7 November 2027 (unless removed earlier by the authors), are:

  • during the peer-review process, additional changes to the data pre-processing pipeline and/or the statistical approach to address our research questions may be proposed. These changes may lead to the inclusion of new variables (e.g., filter variables) to the dataset, codebook and to the analysis script.
  • given the precious nature of the dataset and the complexity of this project, we have an interest to secure the right to be the first to publish a manuscript about these data in a scientific journal.
